Police have detained two people, like a player’s agent, as part of an global money laundering and corruption investigation from soccer.
Brussels prosecutors said that several raids took place on Tuesday and Wednesday in London, Belgium and Monaco .
Police cooperated with British counterparts and their Monaco, leading to the arrest of their representative in Monaco.
Prosecutors said his helper was detained in the Liege region, in Belgium’s Wallonia region.
Brussels prosecutor’s office failed to provide details of the seven raids but stated they are connected to a wave of searches from April when police probed the offices of Anderlecht and also the Football Association.
This instance is not associated with the large corruption scandal that engulfed soccer last year when police carried out 57 police raids and around Europe at a probe to fraud and match-fixing.
